Product Introduction
This machine is primarily designed for coating (and laminating) of web substrates, handling paper (60-120 gsm) and film (0.03-0.15 mm) with water-based or solvent-based coatings. It employs multi-functional coating, compatible with both metering rod and knife coating. The system includes an unwinding unit, coating unit, two drying oven sections, a laminating traction unit, a winding unit, and an electrical control system, enabling continuous coating and laminating from unwind to rewind. It is an ideal platform for process development and small-scale pilot production.
Key Features
Multi-Functional Coating: Compatible with metering rod and comma knife coating. The coating roller is a precision-ground hard chrome-plated steel roll with runout ≤0.003 mm, accommodating different coating liquids and coat weights.
Two-Zone Drying Oven: Total length 1.5 m with two independently controlled temperature zones, 30-120°C ±3°C. Features external stainless steel heating tubes, centrifugal fan hot air circulation, solid-state voltage regulator automatic proportional temperature control, and 60 mm insulation.
Precision Drive System: Coating roller Φ140 mm super-finished, comma knife Φ90 mm hard chrome-plated. Manual precision lead screw and linear guide wedge control coating gap; optional pneumatic rapid disengagement.
Tension Control System: Unwinding with manual spring tension (optional magnetic powder brake automatic tension), winding with active synchronous AC frequency control (optional magnetic powder clutch tension control), ensuring stable substrate transport.
Safety Exhaust Design: Exhaust hood at the coating station for direct ducting of fumes. Exhaust fan interlocked with main drive—machine cannot start without exhaust—ensuring safe solvent-based coating operation.
Aluminum Alloy Frame: Unwinding, winding, and frame all use aluminum alloy profiles, lightweight and corrosion-resistant. Oven interior and air ducts are 304 stainless steel; guide rollers are hard anodized aluminum alloy.

FAQ
1. Uneven coating thickness
Unstable transport speed, roller gap misalignment, or uneven substrate tension. Calibrate roller gap; synchronize operating speed.
2. Coating starvation, missing spots
Coating liquid with impurities, blocked flow channels, or poor feed. Clean coating paths; use qualified raw materials.
3. Edge overflow, coating beyond width
Temperature too high making coating too thin, coating width exceeded, or doctor gap too large. Lower temperature; fine-tune doctor blade.
4. Substrate wandering or wrinkling
Guide rollers not parallel, unbalanced tension, or web guiding not properly set. Align rollers; adjust unwind/wind tension.
5. Inconsistent unwinding/winding tightness
Tension parameters mismatched or speed not synchronized. Rematch speed and tension values.
6. Poor lamination adhesion
Insufficient coating amount, low lamination pressure, or inappropriate curing temperature. Increase coating weight; adjust lamination air pressure.
7. Abnormal noise and vibration
Transmission bearings lacking lubrication, loose chain, or debris on rollers. Perform regular maintenance and lubrication; clean debris.
8. Insufficient air pressure, weak lamination
Inadequate supply pressure, air hose leak, or faulty pressure regulator. Service air circuit; adjust to standard pressure.
9. Button parameter settings unresponsive
Control panel poor contact or system lag. Power cycle and reset operating parameters.
10. Coating path solidification after shutdown
Residual coating not cleared after shutdown. Clean coating channels promptly after each shutdown; maintain heating for proper shutdown.
