The multi-functional coater integrates unwinding, coating, drying, laminating, and rewinding into a single continuous production line for laboratory use. The coating station adopts a modular design, allowing quick changeover between metering rod, blade, gravure, and film-transfer coating methods to suit different slurry rheologies. Both the coating roll (φ140 mm) and doctor roll (φ90 mm) are precision-ground hard-chrome-plated steel with runout ≤0.003 mm. The gap is manually adjusted via a precision lead screw and linear guide wedge system with pneumatic fast disengagement. The two-zone oven, 1.5 m in length, features 304 stainless steel interior walls, centrifugal circulation fans, and solid-state relay automatic proportional temperature control. Servo-driven unwind, coating, and rewind sections are centrally controlled via a touchscreen PLC, enabling precise setting of speed, tension, and temperature for reliable process development and scale-up.

The coating heads are modular and can be quickly swapped. Metering rod is ideal for low-viscosity fluids and rapid sampling; blade coating suits a wide viscosity range, especially medium-high viscosities; gravure roll is best for precise coat weight control in batch process simulation. 2. What is the mechanical speed range? Can it be customized for higher speeds?
The standard speed range is 0.5-5 m/min, suitable for most lab R&D and small pilot needs. Higher speeds to simulate industrial production conditions are available as a custom option. Please consult our sales engineers.
3. Does the drying system support solvent-based coatings?
Yes. The oven interior and air ducts are made of 304 stainless steel, equipped with explosion-proof centrifugal circulation fans and a forced exhaust system interlocked with the main drive. Exhaust ducting should be routed outdoors. It is recommended to install appropriate solvent vapor treatment equipment based on the specific solvents used.

4. What skill level is required to operate the machine?
