Product Introduction 
The paper tearing tester operates on the Elmendorf method principle. It measures the energy consumed by a pendulum in tearing a pre-cut paper or paperboard specimen to characterize the tearing strength of the material. During testing, a standard-sized specimen with a pre-cut initial slit of specified length is clamped between pendulum-type fixtures. When the pendulum is released, it tears the specimen from the initial slit during its swing, and the tearing force value is displayed on the scale dial in mN. The instrument features a standard mechanical pendulum structure, is simple to operate, requires no power supply, and has low maintenance costs, making it a classic standard instrument for paper tearing strength testing.
