Product Introduction
The Digital tissue thickness tester operates on the contact precision measurement principle. Under conditions of ultra-low contact pressure (2±0.1 kPa) and a standard large contact area (1000±5 mm²), a high-precision displacement sensor measures the distance between the upper and lower measuring anvils to accurately obtain the thickness of tissue paper, non-woven fabrics, and other ultra-thin soft materials. The device is equipped with a 5-inch touchscreen control system with adjustable descent speed from 0.5 to 10 mm/s, supporting both automatic continuous measurement and single measurement modes. Measurement data can be automatically statistically analyzed with bulk calculation, instantly printed via the built-in thermal printer, or transmitted to a computer through the RS232 interface. The integrated body structure and military-grade precision-ground measuring anvils ensure high accuracy and stability over long-term use.

FAQ
1. What is the main difference between a tissue thickness tester and a standard paperboard thickness tester?
The tissue thickness tester uses ultra-low measuring pressure (2±0.1 kPa) and a large contact area (1000±5 mm²), specifically designed for soft, easily compressible tissue paper and non-woven fabrics. Standard paperboard testers typically use 100 kPa or higher pressure, which would severely compress tissue paper, resulting in distorted, artificially low measurements.

2. How is the bulk calculation function used?
The instrument has a built-in bulk calculation program. After entering the specimen's grammage (basis weight), the system automatically calculates and displays the bulk based on the measured thickness. This function simplifies the testing process for tissue paper bulk determination.

3. How does the automatic continuous measurement mode work?
In automatic continuous measurement mode, the user only needs to place the specimen, and the instrument automatically completes the entire descent, measurement, and lifting process without the need for manual key operation for each test. After testing, it automatically calculates statistics such as average and standard deviation, suitable for rapid batch sample testing.

4. How can data be exported and printed?
The instrument has a built-in modular thermal printer for direct printing of test reports. It is equipped with a standard RS232 communication interface for data transmission to a computer via cable. USB and WiFi interfaces are available as optional functions.

5. How should the descent speed be set? Does speed affect measurements?
Descent speed is adjustable from 0.5 to 10 mm/s. Slower speeds further reduce the impact when the measuring head contacts the specimen; lower speeds are recommended for extremely soft materials. Standard tests can set appropriate speed parameters based on material characteristics.

6. How should the measuring anvils be cleaned and maintained?
Gently wipe the surfaces of the upper and lower measuring anvils with a soft cloth or brush to keep them clean and dust-free. Avoid using hard tools to scrape the measuring surfaces, as scratches can affect measurement accuracy. Periodically verify measurement accuracy with standard gauge blocks.

The thickness of tissue paper, facial tissue, non-woven fabrics, and other hygiene paper products is a critical physical parameter affecting product feel, softness, and usability. Due to the soft, bulky, and easily compressible nature of these materials, traditional standard paper thickness testers (typically with measuring pressure of 100 kPa) cannot accurately measure their true thickness. Specialized instruments with ultra-low measuring pressure and larger contact area must be used. Standards such as GB/T 24328 specify dedicated methods for thickness determination of tissue paper and tissue products, requiring the use of low-pressure, large-area thickness testers. The digital tissue thickness tester, with its 2±0.1 kPa ultra-low pressure design and 1000±5 mm² large-area measuring anvil, obtains true thickness data without significantly altering the material's original bulky state. The device integrates automatic measurement, data statistics, bulk calculation, and printout functions, providing a standardized and highly efficient testing method for tissue paper manufacturers, quality inspection agencies, and research institutions. It is an essential foundational testing device in the quality control system of the hygiene paper industry.
